The Victorian driveaway price includes government on-road costs such as stamp duty, registration, number plates and VicRoads processing. These charges are payable only when the vehicle is registered in Victoria.
Interstate buyers usually prefer purchasing the vehicle unregistered and registering it in their home state. This avoids paying Victorian stamp duty and registration fees, which is why the interstate price appears lower.
